According to promoter Eddie Hearn, the world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua (21-0, 20 KOs) will fight next on September 22 against the mandatory challenger for one of his titles Alexander Povetkin (34-1, 24 KOs). Hearn offers Deonthey Wilder, negotiations with whom did not lead to a unification battle this year, to meet on April 13 at Wembley.
Until recently, it seemed that Joshua - Wilder fight would take place at the end of October or November at the Cardiff Stadium, where 80,000 spectators could watch it. But it looks like we'll have to wait a little longer for such a megafight. Now Wilder, most likely, will have an interim battle in the fall against Dominic Breazeale.
