Haney considers himself "Boxer of the Year"

“At this moment I feel like I should be boxer of the year. They don't want to give credit to my dad, but he should be named coach of the year. When they talk about the best boxing trainers, I don’t understand why they don’t mention my father. He's the best, and that's clear. We moved up in weight and fought against perhaps the best boxer in the welterweight division, and the opponent didn’t succeed at all. My father deserves to be trainer of the year, and I deserve to be boxer of the year,” Haney said.
