WBA President Gilberto Jesus Mendoza officially announced that the organization he heads has created a new division - super cruiserweigh. The weight limit in this category is 90.72 kg - 101.60 kg.
“Basically, creating this weight will help avoid fights where there is a significant difference in weight - nine or more kilograms. Boxers considered “small heavyweights” will have the opportunity to move to a new division in order to compete with opponents in a more balanced weight, which will make the sport fairer,” the functionary commented on the news.
