Du Plessis believes he can knock out Strickland

Dricus Du Plessis, the contender for the UFC middleweight title spoke about the upcoming fight with current champion Sean Strickland.

“I won’t stand still and trade blows because that’s his style. I need to make sure that I fight wisely. I only need to hit it once. If Pereira could knock him out, then I'll do it even better. I really think I would have taken down and beaten Adesanya. He has good takedown defense in the clinch, but I don’t think people realize the difference between me and Adesanya. If I had grabbed hold of it, it would have been a fun night.”

Let us remind you that the confrontation between Du Plessis and Strickland will take place on January 20 and will headline UFC 297.
