"I can't blame him for that." Benavidez explained why Alvarez refuses to fight him

Holder of the temporary WBC super middleweight belt David Benavidez explained why the absolute champion of the division Saul Alvarez does not seek to fight with him.

“I want to create my own legacy. I don’t want to be a fighter who expects a payday from a fight with Canelo. If Saul refuses to fight me, then I just want to fight the best fighters in our weight class. This is exactly what I am doing now.

To be honest, I think Alvarez wants to take easier fights now. I can't blame him for that. He worked very hard throughout his career. This guy is a legend. I can't speak badly about him. Canelo just knows that I will give him the hardest fight at 168 pounds,” Benavidez was quoted as saying by Boxing Scene.

Let us remind you that Benavidez will share the ring with Demetrius Andrade November 25 at the Premier Boxing Champions boxing evening in Las Vegas.
