Top UFC middleweight Khamzat Chimaev compared his recent rival to each other Kamaru Usman And Paulo Costa. Khamzat noted that Kamaru is a more versatile fighter than Paulo.
“I wouldn’t say that Usman is a weaker opponent than Costa. Kamaru is a versatile fighter with a lot of experience. He was a champion. Costa falls short of this level. You need to put pressure on Paulo in the first round and that’s it, he’ll fizzle out. He cannot be called a real fighter,” Chimaev said.
Let us remember that at UFC 294 Chimaev was supposed to fight with Costa, but he contracted a staphylococcal infection and was withdrawn from the fight. He was replaced on short notice by former welterweight champion Kamaru Usman and gave Khamzat a good fight, losing only by majority decision.
