Mendes forbade Khabib to spar with Pavlovich

Javier Mendez, former coach Khabib Nurmagomedova, reported that he forbade the former UFC lightweight champion to spar with a heavyweight Sergei Pavlovichwhen he came to the training camp at AKA.

ā€œItā€™sĀ too big for him. I donā€™t allow guys with a weight difference to spar. Khabib... Khabib, when he came to the camp, weighed about 81.5 kg. And I would never allow him to spar with a fighter whose weight starts at 90 kg. Even withĀ 86 kg. I don't want fighters to get injured. I prohibited sparring between heavyweights and lightweights. Yes, light sparring was possible, but full-fledged sparring in the cage was never possible,ā€ the specialist said.
