Strickland's coach told when the fight with Chimaev could take place
Mentor of the UFC middleweight champion Sean Strickland Eric Niksik said that his ward could make the first defense of his belt in the first months of next year.
Let us remind you that last weekend at UFC 294 Khamzat Chimaev defeated Kamaru Usman by majority decision and became a contender for the title.
“Yes, first quarter of 2024. I think so. It all depends on whether Khamzat really becomes our opponent. It looks like his arm is broken or something. We don't know for sure yet.
Immediately after the fight between Khamzat and Usman, we received a message from the UFC, in which we were asked to let them know when we were ready to perform,” the MMA Junkie specialist quotes.
