Caleb Plant (22-2, 13 KO) wants to fight Jermall Charlo (32-0, 22 KOs), which could open the door for him to rematch with Saul Alvarez (60-2-2, 39 KOs) and David Benavidez (27-0, 23 KOs) and the opportunity to get even for his two career losses.

“My main focus is on the fight with Charlo, that’s what I want most now. He has been talking about moving to the super middleweight category for a long time, and our fight must take place for the good of boxing. His fight with Jose Benavidez is, of course, not what the fans are waiting for,” said the former IBF champion in the 76.2-kilogram weight category.

“I will stay at super middleweight and regain my world title there. I would like to meet Charlo early next year, but it takes two to tango. I’ve never been afraid of hard work, let alone hard fighting,” Plant added.
