Makhachev addressed Volkanovski: “Respect for taking the fight”

Islam Makhachev, UFC lightweight champion, addressed his new opponent Alex Volkanovski.

“My respect for taking this fight on short notice, Alex, but don’t use that as an excuse after the fight.”

Let us remind you that Volkanovski will replace Charles Oliveira, who was injured, and will fight with Makhachev in the main fight of UFC 294, which will take place on October 21 in Abu Dhabi.
