Top UFC welterweight Belal Muhammad said that he was ready to share the octagon with the ex-champion Kamaru Usman only if he receives a substantial financial reward. The 35-year-old Palestinian-American is on a ten-fight undefeated streak and doesn't really want to risk his contender status.
“Another guy in the division who doesn’t have a fight booked yet is Usman, but when I think about this fight, I realize that it doesn’t make any sense for me unless they give me the championship purse.
I believe that Usman is a much more difficult opponent than Covington or Edwards, and defeating him will not give me anything. I definitely won’t be given the title if I defeat him,” MMA Junkie quotes Mahammad.
