UFC Women's Flyweight Champion Alexa Grasso said that she underwent surgery after a broken arm received in a fight with Valentina Shevchenko.
Let us remind you that on September 16 at the UFC Fight Night 227 tournament, Grasso and Shevchenko ended in a draw. This allowed the Mexican to retain the title.
“What are your bets, huh? During the fight I broke my arm. We were used to not letting pain stop us, and although I had pain, I didn’t think it was anything serious until I tried to get back to training and realized that I had problems with my arm.
The operation was successful and I know that I will be completely ready for the trilogy,” Grasso wrote on Instagram.
It is noteworthy that in the last match Shevchenko also suffered a broken arm. The athlete from Kyrgyzstan has already undergone surgery and has begun rehabilitation.
