Bellator heavyweight champion Ryan Bader explained why he will not be able to perform at the promotion’s 300th tournament, which will take place this weekend in San Diego, California, USA.

Let us remember that Bader was supposed to fight with Linton Vassell, but the Briton withdrew five days into the tournament due to injury. Later, Corey Anderson volunteered to replace him, but his proposal remained unanswered.

“We told Bellator that we would be fine with any option, but apparently Viacom doesn’t want to pay. They are leaving in October and this cancellation saves them money,” Bader wrote on X, confirming rumors of the promotion being sold.
