Longtime UFC commentator and expert Joe Rogan believes the promotion's former two-division champion Conor McGregor able to return to the previous level after a severe leg fracture.

Let us remember that in July 2021, McGregor broke his ankle in the first round of his fight with Dustin Poirier and was defeated by technical knockout. Since then, the star Irishman has not appeared in the Octagon.

“If it weren’t for the injury, McGregor would still be at the peak of his career. But this broken leg is a big problem. If anyone can come back after something like this, it’s him. Conor broke his leg in the prime of his career. Anderson Silva and Chris Weidman were much older than him when they suffered this injury.

It's hard to come back after something like that. You need to control yourself and take into account how you will now take and throw punches, because the nerves there are damaged,” Rogan said in his podcast.

McGregor is expected to fight Michael Chandler early next year.
