Former UFC middleweight title holder Israel Adesanya in the latest episode on his YouTube channel, he openly spoke about his unexpected defeat from Sean Strickland at the UFC 293 tournament.

“It was like a bad dream. Seeing this in a dream and in reality are completely different things. The fight went surprisingly quickly. When the final round started, I didn’t even realize it was the last five minutes, I thought, “Is this the last round? Crap".

I thought: okay, I need to do something. This is how I felt during the fight... And also how Sean acted. He didn't let me get into the rhythm at all. I just couldn’t get into the rhythm because of his pressure, he was always there.

Whenever I put pressure on Strickland, the coach's tips helped him, and I just said, “Damn!” It was an amazing game plan on their part. And I couldn’t switch on the fly,” Adesanya said.

Let us remind you that Strickland defeated Adesanya by unanimous decision.
