Former UFC champion in two weight classes Henry Cejudo believes that Israel Adesanya didn't deserve an immediate rematch with Sean Strickland, but is confident that the promotion’s management will still provide him with this opportunity.

Let us remember that last weekend Adesanya lost to Strickland by unanimous decision and lost his belt in the middle division.

“Does Israel deserve a rematch after losing four out of five rounds? No, it doesn't deserve it. Daniel Cormier has the same opinion, Chael Sonnen, and the whole world thinks the same. But will he get his revenge? One hundred percent. When you are Dana White's son, when you are his cash cow, when you have such achievements in your career... Dana will give you such a chance.

However, I want to ask Adesanya a question: is it wise for you to accept a rematch with Sean after he dominated you? If I were him, I would take a break. It’s time for the division to move on,” Cejudo is quoted as saying by MMA News.
