Volkanovski named the next opponent in the UFC

UFC featherweight champion Australian Alexander Volkanovski announced that in his next fight he will meet with a Spaniard of Georgian origin Ilia Topuria.

“Most likely it will be Ilia Topuria. I want to stay active, I don’t want to sit and wait. Instead of standing around and waiting for a title shot in the lightweight division, I'd rather fight. I have full confidence that I will do my job in the battle with Elijah.

I'm really looking forward to it. This is an exciting fight. I think it will take place early next year,” MMA News quotes the Australian.

Let us remember that in his last appearance in the Octagon, Volkanovski defeated Yair Rodriguez by technical knockout. The fight took place in early July at the UFC 290 tournament.
