Pereira: 'I have nothing to do with Strickland beating Adesanya'

Former UFC middleweight champion Alexa Pereira expressed his opinion about the sensational victory Sean Strickland above Israel Adesanya.

On August 10 at UFC 293 in Sydney, Australia, Strickland defeated Adesanya by unanimous decision to capture the middleweight title.

“We trained with Strickland for several days, and I realized how talented he is. These trainings gave me more insight into his durability and strategies than our fight. It was this experience that gave me the confidence that he would win.

And let me be clear: I had nothing to do with his victory. This is entirely his merit. He has achieved success because he is dedicated to his craft and has a unique style,” Pereira said in a release on his YouTube channel.
