Jones named the fighter other than Gustafsson who gave him a beating

John Jones, the reigning UFC heavyweight champion, named an opponent who, after Alexander Gustaffson, gave him a real beating in the octagon. According to Bons, it was Dominic Reyes.

“He kicked me roundabout in the face, and then in the stomach. I fell, and technically it was a knockdown. He gave me a real fight. Dominik was the only one after Alexander Gustafsson who did this to me...,” Jones said.

He also added that at the moment of the fight itself he did not rule out that he would lose, and only did not want to be knocked out.

Recall that the fight between Jones and Reyes took place in February 2020, ending with John's victory by unanimous decision.
