Matchroom wins bid for Foster-Hernandez fight

Promotional organization Matchroom Boxing won a tender to organize a fight between the WBC world featherweight champion O'Shaky Foster (20-2, 11 KOs) and Eduardo Hernandez (34-1, 31 KOs). The winning bid was $466,000.

The fight is scheduled to take place within 90 days, although it was previously reported that Eddie Hearn would like to organize this fight in September in the United States. The prize pool will be split 75/25 in favor of the reigning champion. 10% of the amount will be reserved as a bonus for the winner.

The Mexican will enter this fight as an official contender for the World Boxing Council belt. Foster won the WBC title by defeating Ray Vargas in February.
