Zhilei: Fury is a disgrace to boxing

Zhang Zhilei (25-1-1, 20 KOs) sharply criticized Tyson Fury (33-0-1, 24 KOs) for his decision to fight with Francis Ngannou (0-0, 0 KOs).

“If you look at Fury, you can see that he avoided Joshua, avoided Usyk and chose a guy with no experience in the pro ring,” said the two-meter Chinese.

“Ngannou is a newcomer, just starting his career. Yes, he was a UFC champion and I respect him for that, but boxing is a different story. Tyson Fury is a disgrace to boxing, he should be ashamed!" added Zhilei, who will face Joe Joyce (15-1, 14 KOs) for the second time on September 23 for the WBO interim heavyweight belt.
