Devin Haney (30-0, 15 KOs) announced that he would donate to help Ukraine the money that was frozen from his fee for pushing Vasily Lomachenko (17-3, 11 KOs) at the official weigh-in ceremony before their fight.

The fight took place in May in Las Vegas. During the one-on-one final, the American pushed the Ukrainian, for which the Nevada Athletic Commission blocked 10% of his fee ($400,000). As a result, the fine imposed by the commission amounted to only 25,000 dollars, but Haney said that part of the remaining amount (375,000) would be donated to support Ukrainians who are defending themselves from a Russian full-scale invasion.

Following a performance in May, Haney, a four-belt lightweight champion, became a free agent, completing a three-fight contract with Top Rank. In the near future, the 24-year-old fighter should talk to various promotional companies about a new contract, which should not be longer than two fights.
