July 22 at Top Rank in Shawnee, Oklahoma, former World Lightweight Champion George Kambosos (20-2, 10 KOs) will face Maxi Hughes (26-5-2, 5 KOs).
The Australian lost to Devin Haney in his last two fights. After the second defeat from the American, the 29-year-old boxer announced the end of his professional career, but quickly changed his mind. Kambosos recently signed a contract with Bob Arum's promotional organization.
Hughes hasn't lost in the pro ring since 2019, and his latest appearances include fights with Kid Galahad and Ryan Walsh. The fight will determine the official contender for the IBF world champion title in the category up to 61 kilograms.
On the same evening, undefeated Keyshawn Davis (8-0, 6 KOs) will face former European champion Francesco Patera (28-3, 10 KOs). The fight is scheduled for ten rounds.
