Promoter Oleksandr Usyk (20-0, 13 KOs), who staked over $8 million (8,057,000), won the tender to organize his mandatory defense with Daniel Dubois (19-1, 18 KOs). Alexander Krasyuk announced that the fight would take place on August 12 in Wroclaw, at the same stadium where Vitaliy Klichko in 2011 he defended his WBC belt in a fight with Tomasz Adamek. Dubois is a contender imposed by the WBA.
“I would like to meet Usyk, his team knows this, but he is afraid of such a fight. I can fight him anywhere and anytime,” says Bronze Bomber.
Wilder challenges Usyk, but is almost ready for the December fight with Anthony Joshua (25-3, 22 KOs). His trainer Malik Scott recently claimed that such a fight is close to a conclusion.
