Joyce officially demanded a rematch with Zhilei

Joe Joyce (15-1, 14 KOs) officially activated his right to a rematch, which was specified in the contract for the April duel with Zhang Zhilei (25-1-1, 20 KOs). This was announced in an interview with ESPN by the British manager Adam Morali.

Joyce's decision could theoretically derail Queensberry Promotions and Top Rank's plans for Zhang's fight with Tyson Fury (33-0-1, 24 KOs) in July, but it is possible that Joyce will agree to wait with his rematch until the appropriate time and receive a release."

Zhang's manager Terry Lane said today that his fighter is ready for both scenarios - both for the fight with Fury and for the second fight with Joyce.
