Former UFC Lightweight Champion Anthony Pettis promised to adequately represent mixed martial arts in the upcoming boxing match with the legendary Roy Jones Jr..

“Most MMA fighters who have moved into boxing have not fought top boxers. Except for McGregor. I will go out and test myself against one of the greats. It is very important for me to win. This is important for MMA as a sport, for me and my coaches who work hard for this.

I think Roy Jones will be surprised by my boxing skills. I will fight like a boxer, not an MMA fighter,” Pettis quotes MMA Fighting.

Recall that the fight between 54-year-old Jones and 36-year-old Pettis will headline the Gamebred Boxing 4 tournament, which will be held on April 1 in Milwaukee, USA.
