Jones confirms fight with Miocic in July

Freshly minted UFC heavyweight champion Jon Jones confirms recent words Stipe Miocic that their confrontation could take place on July 8 as part of UFC 290. Jones wrote about this on his social networks.

ā€œMore than likely. It seemed to me that it somehow fell on me. Need to talk to my team/UFC and come up with a plan,ā€ wrote the fighter.

Recall that Jones became the UFC heavyweight champion, winning by choke over Cyril Gan in the first round. This fight headlined the recent UFC 285.
