Former world middleweight champion Felix Sturm (43-6-3, 18 KOs) defeated Shukra Altai (15-3, 14 KOs) by unanimous decision in the main event of the evening organized in Stuttgart, Germany. In the seventh round, Altai managed to noticeably shock Sturm, but after ten rounds, the judges scored the meeting 96-94, 97-95 and strange 99-91. For Sturm, it was a return to the ring after a year-long break and a loss to Istvan Schiele. The fight took place in the light heavyweight division.

In the next professional fight, the 44-year-old athlete may face the former world super middleweight champion Tyrone Tsoyge (25-1-1, 15 KOs), who also boxed that evening. The 30-year-old boxer won by knockout in the first round over Michal Ryba (12-10-1, 9 KOs), and this was his first professional fight in over three years. The fish visited the floor three times until the meeting was stopped at 2:33.

Also this evening, in an exhibition match, the former heavyweight champion, 54-year-old Francis "White Buffalo" Botha played six rounds in the ring with the 60-year-old head of Porshe AG Uwe Hack, after which Hack was declared the winner by decision. Botha, looking in pretty good shape, returned to the same arena where he won the vacant IBF title against local hero Axel Schulz in 1995. After this fight, Botha passed a positive doping test for steroids and was stripped of his title.
