May 13 in Belfast Michael Conlan (18-1, 9 KOs) will face the IBF featherweight world champion Luis Alberto Lopez (27-2, 15 KOs).

Previously, the organization of this duel was planned for mid-March, but the duel, as a result, will take place a few weeks later. Conlan was previously an interim WBA title holder.

Lopez has been the champion of the International Boxing Federation since December. The Mexican won the trophy by defeating Josh Warrington via unanimous decision.
