The WBC world champion in the first division of the welterweight Regis Prograis (28-1, 24 KOs), commented on a possible fight between the former title holder in three weight categories Vasily Lomachenko (17-2, 11 KOs) and the leader of the lightweight division Devin Haney (29-0, 15).
“I don’t know how this fight will turn out. I think I lean more towards Devin Haney. He is a lot bigger. Haney stepped into the ring against Lomachenko and looked much bigger than him. I believe Loma’s skills are still with him, but he could age and lose them. As I have said, I prefer Devin Haney. He is bigger, younger, and I also think Loma’s skills may have declined a bit. But it will still be a good fight. I’m not going to say the odds are 50/50, but everything here is close, almost even. However, I lean more towards Haney’s victory,” Prograis is quoted by iD Boxing.
Previously, Haney said that his fight with Lomachenko may not take place in the United States, as previously expected.
