A meeting Tyson Fury (33-0-1, 24 KOs) since Oleksandr Usyk (20-0, 13 KOs) looks set to be the next big heavyweight bout to take place in Saudi Arabia. King of the Gypsy promoter Frank Warren believes this choice is financially justified and notes that this is a popular trend in other sports as well.

“The World Cup was held in Qatar, the Olympic Games in Russia, big competitions take place where there is big money. Muhammad Ali fought in the Philippines, in Zaire,” said the head of Queensberry Promotions.

“Now it’s the same, this fight is like the Boxing Olympics or the World Championship. This is the World Heavyweight Championship and a unique situation - four belts are at stake! Athletes do the same, they leave England for Spain or Italy, or vice versa, if there is more money there, ”Warren added, while he noted that the final decision on the location of the Fury-Usyk fight has not yet been made.
