Cormier sees no point in Jones fighting Gun or Blades

Daniel Cormier, former UFC champion in two divisions, spoke about possible fights John Jones with Cyril Gan and Curtis Blades.

“Jon Jones is finally set to make his UFC heavyweight debut. In my mind, this must be a huge fight, because I know that Jon Jones makes a lot of money. In order for him to enter the octagon, he needs an opponent who will allow him to earn such an amount. And this requires good ticket sales and pay-per-view. Jones will have to fight Francis Ngannou or Stipe Miocic. I don't even think Cyril Gun is a big enough name. As for the idea that Jones should fight Curtis Blades, I don't think it makes any sense at all. You need a B side, a guy who gets attention."

Recall that earlier it was reported that Jones would return to the octagon in March next year.
