Garcia vs. Gesta fight canceled

Ryan Garcia (23-0, 19 KOs) decided not to fight Mercito Gesta (33-3-3, 17 KOs) January 28 in Phoenix. For the American, it was supposed to be a warm-up fight before a big fight with Gervonta Davis (28-0, 27 KOs).

Garcia's duel with "Tank" is scheduled for April 15. Prior to that, Davis will face WBA super featherweight champion Hector Garcia.

Garcia, 24, last fought in July, defeating Javier Fortuna by knockout. The April fight with Davis will take place in the contract limit of 136 pounds.
