Last Saturday in London Denis Berinchik (17-0, 9 KOs) defeated Ivan Mendy (47-6-1, 22 KOs) by unanimous decision and took away the EBU European lightweight title from him.

According to the Compubox portal, Berinchyk was more active in terms of the number of shots than Mendy - 651-532 and landed more accurate hits - 21% against Mendy's 15%.

“Friends, good evening! Mi from Ukraine. Such a warm welcome. Just two belts straight to Ukraine," Denis Berinchyk addressed the fans.

This time Denis entered the ring in the uniform of the Kraken Special Forces of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Moscow Region. Denis was supported by the IBF, WBA and WBO heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk near the ring that evening. The fight took place on the undercard of the third bout between WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury and Derek Chisora. After defending the title, Fury addressed Oleksandr Usyk in his usual dismissive manner. Alexander restrainedly reacted to Fury's provocations without uttering a word.
