Smith: Chimaev will be a big favorite against Pereira

Former UFC light heavyweight contender Anthony Smith praises chances of undefeated welterweight Khamzat Chimaeva in a potential duel with the title holder in the middle division Alex Pereira.

“I perfectly understand why he wants to fight Pereira. I think he licked his lips when he watched his fight against Adesanya. He thinks he can tear them both apart.

Considering his style, he would be a solid favorite against both of them. I think that Alex and Israel are easier opponents for him than Covington, ”Smith said on the Believe You Me podcast.
