Saul Alvarez (58-2-2, 39 KOs) said that the rehabilitation of his recently operated left hand is going faster than he expected, and on May 6, the 32-year-old athlete plans to fight his next professional fight.
“The hand is getting better and better, I don’t think I would have such a long break as I feared. I will be ready to fight in May. I always fight in May and September. My plans for next year are to perform at both nights," Canelo said.
The Mexican defeated Gennady Golovkin in his last professional performance. After a fight with a boxer from Kazakhstan in September, Alvarez did not rule out that his break in professional boxing would last at least twelve months.
