The system is designed to prevent situations in which one of the boxers does not meet the required limit before the championship fight. The organization, led by Mauricio Suleiman, also wants to eliminate cases of sudden weight loss in the last days before entering the ring.

Almost ten years ago, the leadership of the World Boxing Council introduced the Clean Boxing Program (CBP). Every athlete ranked in the top 15 had to sign an agreement to conduct random doping tests, even if he did not prepare for the fight. Using a weight management app and participating in the CBP will be a prerequisite for maintaining your place in the WBC rankings.
