IBA led by Russian Kremlin lift sanctions against Russian and Belarusian athletes

The International Boxing Federation, headed by the Russian Umar Kremlin, has decided to allow athletes from Russia and Belarus to compete in their tournaments.

“The IBA Board of Directors has voted to reverse its previous decision and allow boxers from Russia and Belarus to compete in IBA competitions with immediate effect. The IBA is convinced that politics should not affect sports. Therefore, equal conditions must be created for all athletes...”, the statement says.

It is also reported that athletes from these countries will perform under their own flags, and not neutral ones, and in case of their victories, the national anthem will be played.
