The DAZN platform in the United States sold 575,000 pay-per-view packages for the Saturday night of boxing in Las Vegas. The main event of the evening was the third duel between Gennady Golovkin (42-2-1, 37 KOs) and Saul Alvarez (58-2-2, 39 KOs).
Canelo's first two fights with GGG generated over a million PPVs. The result of the sales of the third fight may disappoint DAZN, which allocated nearly $80 million just for mandatory fees to the participants of the main fight of the evening. Four super-middleweight championship belts were at stake.
According to unofficial information, the May fight between Alvarez and Dmitry Bivol sold 520,000 broadcast purchases in the United States. Last year, Canelo PPV with Caleb Plant, and then sales were 800,000.
