Alvarez Golovkin. Judges' official notes

In the expected trilogy Saul "Canelo" Alvarez (58-2-2, 39 KOs) turned out to be too fresh and too good, and confidently dominated Gennady Golovkin (42-2-1, 37 KOs) for most of their 12-round bout. In the end, Canelo won by unanimous decision and defended his absolute super middleweight crown.

Judging scores: 116-112, 115-113 and 115-113. Although most boxing analysts considered Canelo the winner by a much larger margin.
