On the upcoming Saturday, September 17, boxing fans are waiting for one of the main events of this year, and one of the most long-awaited over the past few years, the third fight between Saul Alvarez and Gennady Golovkin. The meeting will be held in Las Vegas on DAZN broadcast with the start of the main card on the night of Saturday to Sunday at 3:00 Kyiv time. The start of the main battle is approximately at 6:00.
Canelo Alvarez and Gennady Golovkin will fight for the undisputed super middleweight title.
After a stoppage victory in November 2021 over Caleb Plant, Alvarez became the first ever undisputed super middleweight champion. He then tried to become a two-time light heavyweight champion in a duel against WBA champion Dmitry Bivol. Bivol had other plans, and Alvarez suffered his first defeat in over eight years.
Golovkin last fought in April, when he defeated Reta Murata by TKO in the ninth round in Japan to add the WBA belt to his previously held world middleweight belt. Now Golovkin has the opportunity to recoup his first two fights with Canelo, when, according to the boxer from Kazakhstan, he deserved to win.
