Dana White reveals why he canceled UFC 279 press conference

Dana White, UFC president, explained why he made the decision to cancel the press conference for the 279th tournament of the promotion.

"Madness. I don't even know what to call it all. How long have I been in this business - 22 years. In my career, there has never been such an incident as today. We interrupted the press conference to stop the conflict. I just don't know what to say. We thought that if we let only combatants into the hall, then everything would work, but we were wrong. Diaz's camp has 57 people. There were more than 30 in Khamzat's team. Some guys from the fighter teams were walking back and forth and throwing sharp words. It was crazy. It was absolutely crazy here. You don't need to be a scientist to understand what this press conference would have led to if we hadn't canceled it."

Recall that UFC 279 will be held on the morning of September 11 in Las Vegas and will lead its duel between Khamzat Chimaev and Nate Diaz.
