Oliveira told why they organized the fight with Makhachev

Former UFC Lightweight Champion Charles Oliveira called the reason why his duel with Islam Makhachev.

“Honestly, I don’t think Khabib will come back. The fight with Islam will take place mainly because the UFC wants to bring Khabib back, they want to see us fight with him, but I don’t believe in it. When he was a champion, I dreamed of a duel with him, but now I don't believe that it will take place. The truth is that Islam rode the wave, but it is not its wave.”

The fight between Oliveira and Makhachev will take place on October 22 as part of UFC 280.
