WBA regular heavyweight belt holder Daniel Dubois (18-1, 17 KOs) sued Don King, who owes him a large sum of money.
King won promoter bid to fight Dubois, then WBA "interim" champion, with his boxer Trevor Bryan (22-1, 15 KOs), at that time the "regular" champion. The once-famous promoter offered over $3 million in the tender—$3,116,001 to be exact. The money was to be split 55/45 in favor of the "regular" champion. Thus, Brian's account should have received $1,713,800.55 and Dubois's account should have received $1,402,200.45.
