Before the third fight Saul Alvarez (57-2-2, 39 KOs) with Gennady Golovkin (42-1-1, 37 KOs) many boxing fans are concerned about the level of physical fitness of a boxer from Kazakhstan. Golovkin is 40 years old, of which he has been boxing for almost thirty. He has more than 300 amateur and 44 professional fights behind him. However, this does not bother Jonathon Banks, coach of the WBA and IBF middleweight champion.

Banks claims that he will only begin to worry when he notices the consequences of years of boxing and the drop in reflexes in his ward. He also adds that GGG can afford not to add any new elements to its box.

“It seems to me that the age of Gennady confuses only journalists. I don't think even his rivals pay attention to it. My opinion is that I don't care. I will start to notice only when I see signs of a slowdown in the reaction on his part, then I will take it into account. So far, he remains motivated and works to the end to achieve his goal, and I see no reason to start stopping him and discussing how old he is and so on, ”Banks said.

“Golovkin and Alvarez are completely different boxers since their last fight, which took place four years ago. They are both different, and this makes their fight even better. This version of Gennady that I see is capable of making further adjustments to his boxing,” added Banks, former coach of Wladimir Klitschko and Dillian Whyte.
