Ten hours after Tyson Fury (32-0-1, 23 KOs) replaced Saul Alvarez as the leader of the P4P Boxrec rating, the name of the Briton disappeared from the database of active boxers of the largest portal of boxing statistics.

Canelo is once again the best boxer in the world regardless of weight class. He is ahead Dmitry Bivol, Gennady Golovkin and Oleksandr Usyk, the best in heavyweight. Below the Ukrainian are Anthony Joshua and Deontay Wilder.

BoxRec is the first boxing media to take Tyson Fury's recent retirement announcements seriously. The Briton is still officially the WBC heavyweight champion, although the head of the Council said he would talk to the King of the Gypsies this week about his future sports plans.
