April 9 in Saitama, Japan, IBF world middleweight champion Gennady Golovkin (41-1-1, 36 KOs) will return to the ring after a break of a year and a half. A powerful boxer from Kazakhstan will face the WBA champion Ryota Murata (16-2, 3 KOs). According to Eddie Hearn, GGG's long period of inactivity and his age (40) raise questions about his current state.

ā€œI wonder what else is left of Gennady Golovkin,ā€ asks the head of Matchroom Boxing. - Strength is lost with age. Will he have slower legs than before? Won't he take more hits than before?"

ā€œIf we see Golovkin from his best days in the ring, then his trilogy for the undisputed super middleweight championship with Canelo will be a huge event,ā€ says Hearn.
