Warrington stops Martinez in rematch

featherweight Josh Warrington (31-1-1, 8 KOs) regained the IBF title by knocking out the reigning champion Kiko Martinez (43-11-2, 30 KOs) in the seventh round at the First Direct Arena in Leeds, England.

Warrington looked better throughout the fight. He sent Martinez to the floor in the first round and got the referee stopped by a series of unanswered punches at 2:12 of the seventh round. In 2017, Warrington defeated Martinez by controversial majority decision. This time there was no doubt about the outcome of the battle.
