Eddie Hearn has announced that a third fight Josh Warrington (30-1-1, 7 KOs) vs Mauricio Lara (23-2-1, 16 KOs) will probably take place as early as next year. Their rematch took place on Saturday night in Leeds, which after just two rounds was stopped due to an accidental head-to-head collision and a serious eyebrow injury to the Mexican.
In the main bout of the evening in Leeds, the rematch between Josh Warrington (30-1-1, 7 KOs) and Mauricio Lara (23-2-1, 16 KOs) ended in a technical draw when the Mexican suffered a serious brow injury in the second round after an unintentional head-on collision and was unable to continue the fight.
Josh Warrington's contract (30-1, 7 KOs) with Mauricio Lara (22-2, 15 KOs) included a rematch clause. However, it is not yet known whether the Englishman wants to have a second fight with the 22-year-old Mexican.
