According to Alex Bornote, manager of the former two-weight world champion, 41-year-old Guillermo Rigondeaux, the boxer was taken to a Miami hospital after a pressure cooker exploded in his face. According to Bornote, at the moment the Cuban sees only 20% of normal vision, but there are still hopes that he will be able to recover.
Rigondeaux had his last fight on February 26 in Dubai, losing on points to Vincent Astrolabio.
